Andor Kaldi

1939-2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Andor Kaldi, on September 28th, 2025. He was 86 years old. 

Andor was born on July 11, 1939, in Godre, Baranya, Hungary, the son of Paul Kracsa and Maria Hubert. 

Husband to then wife Linda. Together, they raised their three boys: Michael, Andrew, and 
Jason. He was a devoted father, always there to offer guidance, though often misplaced with his old world views and opinions. In his later years he cherished family gatherings, and his presence at holidays and celebrations brought warmth and joy to those around him.

Andor had many passions in life, including watching any sporting events (especially soccer any chance he got), and taking his boys fishing on occasion when they were little. He was known for speaking to us in Hungarian entirely out of the blue, and it takes a few minutes to get him to realize that unless he speaks English, we don’t know what he was saying.

He is survived by his ex-wife Linda, his children Beata, Michael (Boris), Andrew (Angela), and Jason (Amanda), and his grandchildren Richard, David, Jasmine, Cederyck, Karizma, Zayden, and Aurora. He is also survived by his sisters Zsuzsa, and Teresa, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

A viewing to celebrate Andor’s life will be held from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Lakeshore Cardinal Funeral Home, located at 560 Chemin du Bord-du-Lac-Lakeshore, Dorval, Qc H9S 2B3. He will then be buried at 12 p.m. in Jardins du Souvenir, 400 Saint-Jean, Pointe-Claire, QC H9R 3J4. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects.
