I will always remember André as a soft spoken “gentle”man. Rest in peace André. You are once again reunited with your parents and your beautiful daughter Katrina. You will be missed by those who loved you.

  3. I worked with Andre at Bell Canada in the 70s,80s and 90s, he was great to work with. I am sure he will be missed by all the people that knew him, he was not only extremely smart but also very easy to deal with. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and everyone else that had the pleasure to know him.

  6. Dearest Andre,
You will be missed. It was my pleasure to know and work with you. Safe journey dear friend.
Deepest sympathy to Andre’s wife and family for their loss.

  7. Andre and family moved in to the cottage next door to us up north in 1981. Greg and Katrina were almost the same age as our 2 children and our families bonded spending time together as our kids ran through the woods from our house to theirs and back enjoying double meals and playing together. Andre was the one who kept us informed what was happening in the neighbourhood and was ready to share his expertise in many different fields – a trusted neighbour, ready to help whenever needed.
We miss him and his soft spoken neighbourly advice. We miss Katrina and her soft but firm touch with her children and her vivacious joie de vivre.
Our heartfelt condolences to Cookie, Greg and all the grandchildren.

  8. My good friend and neighbor Andre,
I will be missing you as one “pater familias” to another. We both know/knew how to navigate through life with powerful women at our side, all for the benefit of our offspring. You gave me the courage to undertake the expansion of our cottage and put it onto a new foundation, same as you did.

Thank you for sharing with us your experience of the world, be it the raising of your family, your business career at Bell and IBM, your neighborly relations and all the municipal and provincial meddling in our lives. You will remain integral part of my experience of my cottage life until the day I will obediently follow your lead.

My heartfelt condolences to Cookie and Greg and the grandkids.

    Helmut.
