I went to Concordia University with Amy. She and I had several classes together and worked on various group projects. It quickly became clear to me that she was a talented translator and writer. We socialized outside of class a few times, and I always very much enjoyed her company. We both went on to work at the Translation Bureau, where our interactions were fewer but always pleasant. What stands out to me most about Amy is that she loved being a mom; her boys were extremely important to her. I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to them in particular, as well as to everyone else who loved her. It’s a big loss for us all.

  2. Please accept my deepest condolences on Amy’s passing. We were colleagues at the Translation Bureau for many years. While I hadn’t seen her in person since before COVID, I have happy memories of our after-office activities that Amy sometimes attended. I wish, especially for the boys, strength in the days ahead. Whenever we did have a chance to chat about non-work related things, she always talked about them with great pride.

Amy and I attended an online support group together. She loved her sons and her adopted home of Montréal. I am shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. May you rest in peace, Amy. 🙏🏻💜

Amy and I have become friends in recent years. I am deeply saddened to hear she has passed away. Amy was super smart, caring, and wickedly funny. She was always there to offer support to me, even if she needed support too. She loved her children deeply. Although our friendship was just a few years old, Amy’s impact on my life was considerable. I love you Amy, may you rest in power and peace.

Amy Beth was an absolute light and gem, and I am so glad I got to know her over the past few years. We shared many funny jokes, book recommendations, and music tastes. Her children were her world and she glowed when talking about them. My heart is hurting hearing this news. My deepest condolences to her children, parents, sibling, and all who had the lovely opportunity of loving Amy Beth.

I’ve had the gift of being friends with Amy for the last several years. I am super grateful to have gotten to experience her brilliant mind, her hilarious sense of humor, & her graceful kindness. She fiercely loved & was super proud of Sam & Owen- I am delighted they we all able to have their epic adventures in Iceland last summer.

Amy touched many hearts & her presence in our daily lives will be deeply missed

    Dear Amy Beth,
It was a special night when you came into our life in a basement maternity ward during a violent thunderstorm. A tree in our yard was struck by lightning when you were born.
You were the most beautiful baby and we loved watching you grow and learn with your curiosity about life. We have lots of photos and memories which we will treasure forever and you will always be inside our hearts.
We pray that your place in heaven surrounds you by favorite things you loved from nature; and we hope that you can visit with your grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends who have gone before you.
We also pray that your loving soul will give guidance to your sons Sam and Owen to help them travel a good path in life.
We will remember you always and pray that we might be together again someday.
    Love forever,
    Dad and Mom
