The Lakeshore Cardinal Team
A Team of Dedicated Professionals

President
Jean-Charles Cardinal
Our head of operations, Jean-Charles began learning the ropes from his father Jean-J. no later than in his teenage years, as a pallbearer and by serving families on funeral events.
Although retired as a litigator, his legal experience remains an asset for the company in all regards, including service to families.
His passion is to play multiple roles as he and his team strive to offer grieving families the best possible experience.

Senior embalmer and funeral counselor
Melanie Ethier

Louis-Philippe Dargis
Louis-Philippe Dargis completed his first Thanatology internship (Collège Rosemont) with Lakeshore Cardinal in 2022, and was hired the following year as embalmer and family counselor. He is also a bachelor of Translation (Université de Montréal, 2007) and a certified translator.

Funeral coordinator & crematorium supervisor
Hélène Cardinal
My career in the funeral industry began in 2016 as a funeral counsellor, and over the years, I’ve transitioned into roles in administration, accounting, and event coordination, while also managing crematorium operations. I’m passionate about organization and problem-solving, and my artistic side makes creativity a strong asset that I bring to the table. I take pride in delivering complete services.
In my spare time (yes, busy people find time!) I’m a certified event planner and the proud owner of my own wedding planning and coordinating business. On top of it all, I’m excitedly anticipating the arrival of my first baby, marking the beginning of a new chapter in my life!

Musician & director of operations
Anne Marie Cuccia
I began piano lessons at the age of 8, and my musical involvement in the community began soon after (choir member of St.Veronica’s Children’s Choir and, as a young teenager, accompanist at Santa Casa Catholic Mission on 3rd Avenue in Lachine, where my great-uncle was a founding member! ) This lead to contracts as organist in parishes in both Lachine and Dorval, and eventually at Lakeshore Cardinal Funeral Home. I have been married to Jean-Charles Cardinal, the owner, since 1989; we have 3 grown children and are expecting our first grandchild in June 2025.
After a career in education as an elementary school teacher in Pointe-Claire, I became more involved in the family business. My role today is multifaceted : pianist, archivist, family councellor, and coach.
My commitment is that our clients receive excellent service from each team member. We will be there to guide, inform, and create together a fitting tribute to your deceased loved one.

Musician & funeral counselor
Julie Lafontaine
Joining the Cardinal team in 2022, Julie has long-served grieving families in the Montreal area; first as a professional singer, and now as a funeral counsellor.
As a singer, serving families in life’s important occasions for over 35 years, funerals have become a niche for her that she sees as a true vocation. Her career has evolved into serving grieving families in new ways with the Cardinal family where Julie considers it a privilege to guide clients through the difficult challenges of making final arrangements and planning events to honor their loved-ones.
