Jay (Justs) Jansons, age 77, passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 26th at home in Dorval Quebec. 

Born in 1949 in Hanau Am Main Germany, he was the beloved child of Leonids Jansons and Elga Jansons (nee Schifers). 

Jay grew up in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. In 1969, he met Tamara Jansons (Nee Fokeeff) and the couple shared 37 wonderful years together.

Jay was predeceased by his loving and dedicated wife Tamara Jansons (2006), his parents Leonids (1996) and Elga Jansons (2007), his sister Irma Jansons (2012), and his brother Edgars Jansons (2020).

He leaves behind his beloved children, Jacqueline, Andrew (Deanna), and Pieter; his treasured grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, and Paris-Aurora; as well as many dear relatives and friends.

He will be remembered for his warm contagious laugh, generous spirit, loving of his children and exceptional dedication to his grandchildren who were the light of his life. He had a passion for sports, reading, music, video games, and the great outdoors. 

We pray you will be sitting on your rocking chair overlooking the lake in heaven with Mom. Vichnaya Pamyat. 

Visitations will be held on Sunday November 1st from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at Lakeshore Cardinal Funeral Home in Dorval, 560 Chemin Bord-du-Lac/Lakeshore. Panihida service will commence at 2pm. 

A funeral service will take place on Monday November 2nd at 10:30am at St. Seraphim Russian Orthodox Church, 3495 15e Avenue, Rawdon in Montreal.
