Amy Beth Stinchfield

1976 – 2025

Belchertown, MA – Amy Beth Stinchfield, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2025 in Montreal, Canada.

Amy completed her early education in Belchertown and graduated from Belchertown High School in 1994. She furthered her education at UMass Amherst and then transferred to Concordia University in Montreal for advanced study in language translation. This academic path led to a fulfilling career with the Canadian Government. In the Translation Services Division, Amy was highly respected for her professional skills.

A person of deep faith, Amy was an active member of Hope United Methodist Church in Belchertown before she moved to Canada to complete her degree and she married a Canadian citizen, Braden Harper. Her personal life was enriched by love of two sons, foreign travel and extensive reading which broadened her perspective and brought her much joy.

Amy will be remembered as a caring mother and a cherished friend whose heartfelt presence and kindness enriched the lives of those close to her. Her legacy will be honored by her father, Duane Stinchfield and mother, Lorna Stinchfield of Belchertown; and her brother Todd Stinchfield living in California. Her two sons, Sam age 19 and Owen age 15 will harbor many loving memories of their mother.
