Dorothy Loynachan Leddie, nee Ferguson
1943 – 2025
Dorothy died at the Veteran Centre of Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto after a devastating and mercifully short struggle with a malignant brain tumour.
Dorothy grew up in Montreal, went to Montreal West High School and graduated from McGill University. She had a long and successful career enployed by the federal government in Toronto.
After retiring, Dorothy led many Thomas Cook tours from the U.K across Canada and the Eastern seaboard. She loved her second career. Dorothy spent many years travelling between Canada and her beloved Scotland where she had a home in St. Monans.
Dorothy died peacefully in the presence of close family. She will be missed by family and close friends in Toronto, Lunenburg, NS, London, ON, and Dundee, Scotland.
She will be remembered for her bons mots, dry wit and zest for life and travel.
May she rest in peace.
As per Dorothy’s wishes, the burial will be private.
