David Challiner Fielding

David Challiner Fielding, aged 87, passed away peacefully after a short illness on March 18, 2026, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
David, affectionately known as Dave to those close to him, was a retired employee of Monsanto in Lasalle. Throughout his life, he was known for his remarkable ability to tinker and fix just about anything—a skill that brought joy and practicality to many around him. His wonderful sense of humor brightened countless moments and left an enduring impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Dave cherished time spent with his family and particularly loved his time at Silver Lake as well as visits to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, places that held a special place in his heart. These trips were filled with laughter, connection, and memories that will be treasured by those who shared them.
He is survived by his beloved wife Rosamund; his daughter Cheryl; his sons Jon (Kathy) and Jamie (Terry); his grandchildren Alex (Laura), Charlotte, and Nathaniel; and his great-grandson Lukas. Dave’s legacy lives on through the love and memories shared by his family.
