It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Renelle Héroux Summers, in Montreal on August 9, 2024, at the age of 85. She is survived by her son Patrick (Susan), her son Allen (Nathalie Desbiens), her granddaughter Jennifer, as well as her sister Brunelle St Pierre (late Benoit), her brother Laurier Héroux (Juliette), her sister-in-law Nicole Héroux (late Jean). She is also survived by several cousins, nephews and nieces, as well as many dear friends and colleagues.
A native of St Boniface de Shawinigan, and having studied in Louiseville and Shawinigan, Renelle was proud to have lived in Pointe Claire for 53 years.
A nurse with a diploma from Université de Laval, specializing in psychiatry (U de Laval) and geriatrics (U de Montréal), she had a long career at the Centre Hospitalier de Lachine and helped open a department at Pavillon Camille-Lefebvre. Renelle will be remembered by all as a generous, resourceful, lively woman who loved the arts and entertainment, and especially her passion for travel.
Funeral services will be held at the J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, Dorval, on Saturday, August 24, 1:00 p.m. (reception from 10:00 a.m.).
Renelle will be greatly missed.
