Renée Berchan-Hanna
1936- 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Renée Berchan, on February 15, 2026, in Montreal. Renée passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph-Saïd Hanna, she leaves to mourn her daughter Marie-Lucie (Victor Baba) and her son Saïd-Joseph (the late Michèle Chidiac).
She was the devoted grandmother of Nathalie Baba, Stéphanie Baba (Benjamin Benard), and Frédéric Hanna (Alejandra Ruiz), as well as a proud great-grandmother to her adorable twins, Nael and Élias.
She was also the caring sister of Thérèse Berchan, the aunt of Marianne Haddad (Ernest Alfi), and the great-aunt of Ramy and Shady in Cairo.
She also leaves behind many relatives and friends in Egypt, Malta, England, Lebanon, France, Australia, and Mexico.
Her memory will forever remain with us, carried by the love of those who loved her.

The family will receive condolences at the Lakeshore Cardinal Funeral Home, located at 560 Bord du Lac, Dorval, Quebec H9S 2B3, on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Presentation Church, located at 665 Avenue de l’Église, Dorval, Quebec H9S 1R4.
