Pierre L’Africain
1938 – 2026
It is with great sadness we share that Pierre Stephen L’Africain, born in 1938, left us on February 3rd, 2026 at the age of 86.
Born to parents Stephen and Juliette (née Valade) L’Africain, on St-Andre St in Mintreal, Pierre did his growing up on a farm in Nitro. Growing up in the country, he developed a deep love for nature. He enjoyed fishing with his Dad and Grandkids, and in his later years faithfully kept the backyard birds and squirrels fed. Pierre was a talented artist and worked as a freelance Commercial Artist his entire life. Pierre found joy in creating art, teasing his grandkids, and sweet treats.
Pierre is survived by his sister Alice, his daughter Diane, grandkids Matt (Jolianne), Kirsten (Martin), Mackenzie (Evan), nieces Johanne (Luc), Jennifer (Joey), Joan, Mary, and nephew Paul (Matt). He also leaves behind his great-grandkids Nolhan, Rosie, Nicholas and Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring his memory by taking a walk in the forest or setting up a backyard bird feeder.
