Louise Sauriol Mikus
1938-2025
We regret to announce the passing of Ms. Louise Sauriol Mikus (a.k.a. Louise-Michelle Sauriol) at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her husband Mark Mikus and leaves to mourn her three children Jean-Philippe (Dominique), Pierre-Louis (Karine) and François (Stéphanie) and four grandchildren.
Her career as a speech therapist, and then a writer, is a testimony to her love of words and speech. She brought enchantment to many students and young readers, with her fairy dust stimulating their imagination. She was loved and cherished by her close and extended family, and also a circle of friends, comrades, neighbors and long-term colleagues, through carefully nurtured bonds of listening, kindness and rapport.
Deeply kind and boundlessly dedicated, she played a part in the happiness and flourishing of many fortunate ones who knew her. She felt she had had a very full life, and rightly so!

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday, August 15th, 2025 from 6 to 9 PM at Lakeshore Cardinal Funeral Home (560 Lakeshore, Dorval, H9S 2B3). A funeral will take place in St-Joachim church (2 Sainte-Anne, Pointe-Claire H9S 4P5) on August 16th, 2025 at 10 AM, followed by burial in Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery at 1 PM.
