Danny Griffith (Sensei)
1958 – 2025
It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Sensei Danny Griffith on August 17, 2025.
He leaves behind his best friend and loving partner Julie Proctor, her children Jayden and Ella. Loving father of Nakomis, and Daniel Archambault; proud grandfather of August; dear brother of Yanesh, Guy (Amal), and Melanie (Stéphane); fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A lifelong martial artist and teacher, Danny inspired countless students with his passion, kindness, and encouragement around the world.
Danny was reunited with his daughter Vanessa, and his memory will be forever cherished.
Danny’s family will be having a gathering to celebrate Danny’s life at The Lakeshore Cardinal Funeral Home (560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval, QC H9S2B3) on Thursday, August 28, 2025 between 1:00-5:00 p.m.

I knew Danny , as we grew up together at Weredale and then after as he became the martial arts teacher to my kids. I was truly shocked and saddened on hearing of his passing, he was truly a very special person and I will always remember him fondly. My deepest condolences to you and your family.
