It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Georgeta Gagiu, who died peacefully on June 20, 2026, at the age of 91.

Georgeta lived a remarkable life filled with energy, curiosity, laughter, and love. Educated as an engineer, she approached life with intelligence, determination, and an enduring sense of adventure. In her youth, she was an accomplished gymnast, a reflection of the vitality and passion that would remain with her throughout her life.

Georgeta embraced life to its fullest. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a spontaneous spirit, and an enthusiasm for the world around her. She loved sports, travel, cinema, music, ballet, dance, and the arts.

Known for her generosity and kindness, Georgeta was always ready to lend a helping hand. She treasured the relationships she built throughout her life and was deeply devoted to her family and friends. Nothing brought her greater happiness than the time spent with those she loved, especially her beloved grandson, whom she adored beyond measure.

Georgeta's warmth, strength, optimism, and zest for life will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The family will receive condolences at Lakeshore Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
