Yolande Laura Devlin Grant

1938-2025

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Yolande Grant (nee Devlin).

A proud and involved lifelong resident of Dorval, Yolande was among the first employees of the Dorval Shopping Center when it opened in 1954, as a 16-year-old teller for the Royal Bank branch there. Aside from her gifts with numbers, Yolande had an uncanny green thumb, always able to coax a stunning garden to life every year and to keep even the most delicate house plants alive.

She will be remembered as a cherished and devoted friend and neighbor, always full of smiles and surrounded by laughter, but mostly she will be remembered forever as a caring wife and our sweet mother, grandmother and recently, great-grandmother to Wyatt. She loved us all fiercely our whole lives and we felt it. Everything good in our lives stands on the foundation she gave us. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Grant, her children David (Sue), Michael (Caroline), and Linda (Tony), and her grandchildren Megan, Lindsey, Jesse, Melissa, Matthew, Andrew, Daniel, Sarah, and Mathieu. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to your charity of choice to allow her generosity to live on.

Funeral and memorial details: visitations at Lakeshore Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval H9S 2B3, 7-9 PM Thursday July 24th, and 11 AM-1 PM Friday July 25th with funeral mass to follow July 25th at 2 PM at St Veronica’s Church, 1300 Carson, Dorval, H9S 1M6.
